Walking Path Resurfacing - Update

The initial landscaping phase of the walking trail replacement has been completed. There will be some stump removal efforts prior to year end and next year there will be another walk through to bring any low spots up to the grade of the trail and reseeding as necessary.

October 17

The pavement piece of the walking path re-surfacing was completed last week. We now move into the landscaping phase. The plan is to have dirt delivered Wednesday morning and then a crew will be working to backfill the walking path and repair all surfaces and seed. This is just an initial phase of repair and there will be additional phases that may not start until spring.

Walking Trails

Over the next few weeks, you see a lot of activity on walking trails. Starting today, Sep 23, Griffith Paving will begin by grinding out the headers at the sidewalks. Starting next week, Tuesday, Sep 27, paving will begin. All walking trails are scheduled to be repaved this season. There are mutliple phases to this, grinding out headers, paving, sealing, and then landscaping actions to build up the ground around the path.

There may be times the paths are completely closed off for this work, and other times where it may be difficult to get access to them. As always, use of the walking paths are at your own risk. Please do not use the walking trails until the project is complete. If you have children, advise them not to ride their bikes on the path or go near it.
